(ORAL) The petitioner, through the instant petition, is seeking direction to official respondents to investigate FIR No. 116 dated 01.06.2022 under Sections 363 and 366-A IPC, registered at Police Station Moti Nagar, District Ludhiana in free and fair manner and recover daughter of the petitioner.
Status report by way of affidavit dated 14.02.2023 of Murad Jasvir Singh Gill, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Industrial Area-A, Ludhiana on behalf of respondent-State is taken on record. Registry is directed to tag the same at an appropriate place. Learned State counsel, at the outset, on instructions from ASI Vijay Kumar, states that it appears that daughter of the petitioner has left with Akashdeep Singh. In view of statement of learned State counsel, no further order is warranted. The Court is sanguine of the fact that police would make sincere efforts to recover daughter of the petitioner as well boy with whom she had eloped.
