SUMEET GOEL, J.(Oral) The substantive prayer made in the present writ petition reads thus:

"It is, therefore, respectfully prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to:- A.

Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing official respondents No. 2 and 3 to ensure the protection of life, liberty, limb and property of the petitioner, which is in danger at the hands of private respondents No.4, 5 and 6; YAG DUTT 2026.04.07 18:07 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

For directing the official respondents No.2 and 3 to initiate stern legal action against respondents No.4, 5 and 6 for abusing their official position, acts of brutality, torturers, inhuman behaviour and atrocities meted on to the petitioner as enumerated in the petition."

At the outset, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks to withdraw the petition in hand with liberty to avail alternative remedy(s) as available in law including approaching the concerned Judicial Magistrate, who is seized of the trial as also the concerned Illaqa Magistrate, if the occasion so arises.
