Present petition has been filed praying for issuance of direction to official respondents No.3 and 5 to file status report of FIR No.0006, dated 20.12.2023, under Sections 406, 420, 409, 506 and 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station NRI, District Patiala, (P-2). It is further prayed that directions be issued to official respondents No.2 to 4 to nominate the names of other accused persons (Bank employees) who were connived with the main accused persons in committing fraud worth crores of rupees with the present petitioner.

It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that despite the FIR having been registered on 20.12.2023, there is no progress in the investigation.

He submits that necessary action is being taken for completing the investigation by procuring their presence.

In view of the above statement made by learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4Deputy Superintendent of Police, NRI Wing, Patiala, to ensure that investigation is completed expeditiously.
