The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of direction in the nature of habeas corpus for release of the detenues mentioned in para 2 of the petition from the illegal, unlawful custody of respondents No.4 & 5 by appointing a Warrant Officer.

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner today. Even the State of Punjab has not filed status report pursuant to the previous order.

Since the matter pertains to the alleged confinement of the labour working at brick kiln and now there is no representation on behalf of them, therefore, it is apparent that they are no more in illegal confinement.
