ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition herein, inter alia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents to consider the claim of petitioner for promotion as Assistant Wasil Baqi Niwas (hereinafter referred to as "AWBN") with effect from 2019, from the date his juniors (Patwaris) have allegedly been promoted or from the date of actual promotion due from 2016 as per promotion rules along with all consequential benefits with interest.

Qua the aforesaid grievance, the petitioner served legal notice dated 06.10.2022 (Annexure P-11),but the same has not been adverted till date. Hence, the instant petition. 3.

On advance service of copy of the petition, learned State counsel appears and submits that a decision will be taken by the competent authority on the legal notice dated 06.10.2022 (Annexure P-11), by passing a speaking order.

Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by any of the respondents, as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the instant writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to look into the pending legal notice dated 06.10.2022(Annexure P-11) and decide the same, in accordance with law.

Let the needful be done within two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
