The substantive prayer made in the petition reads thus: 'It is, therefore, most respectfully prayed that this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue:- (a) writ in nature of mandamus to direct the respondents No.2 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner, who has to sow their crop in their land which is against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 9 and are apprehending threat to their life from respondents No.4 to 9, further directing respondents No.2 to 3 not to implicate the petitioners in any false criminal case at the instance of respondents No. 4 to 9.

Further for issuance of any another writ, order or direction which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit on the facts and circumstances of the present case.' 2.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the petition in hand at this stage. 3.
