The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to respondents to allot paddy for KMS 2023-24.

Learned Senior Counsel for petitioners states that petition qua petitioner No. 42 has been rendered infructuous and may be disposed of as such.

The writ petition qua petitioner Nos.1 to 35 was dismissed as withdrawn vide order dated 10.10.2023 and petition qua petitioner No. 42 is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous. 4.

Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners got electricity connection after 02.09.2023. PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2023.10.12 17:31 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

This Court in CWP No. 20632 of 2023 alongwith connected cases decided on 10.10.2023 titled as "M/s Master Foods. vs. State of Punjab and others", in the wake of statement of learned State counsel, had directed the respondents to allot paddy to the petitioners therein who had got electricity connection on or before 02.09.2023. 5.

On being confronted with the fact that petitioners have got connection after 02.09.2023, thus, their case is not covered by aforesaid judgment, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that respondents may be directed to sympathetically consider case of the petitioners because petitioners were not at fault in getting electricity connection after 02.09.2023.

The petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondents to consider claim of the petitioners sympathetically and specifically considering the fact that there was no lapse on the part of the petitioners in getting electricity connection.
