The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent No. 2 to re-issue his passport.

Learned counsel for the petitioner interalia contends that petitioner has applied for re-issuance of passport which expired on 20.01.2007. The application was filed on 15.07.2022, however, there is no response from respondents.

Learned counsel for the respondent-UOI submits that no application dated 15.07.2022 allegedly filed by petitioner is pending with the respondent. The petitioner is at liberty to move afresh application which would be decided in accordance with law. 4.
