)*+ The instant petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short, 'BNSS, 2023') seeking grant of anticipatory bail in FIR No. 165 dated 13.07.2025 under Sections 331 (6), 115(2), 324 (4), 191 (3), 190, 351 (3), 61(2) of BNS Act, 2023 registered at Police Station Talwandi Sabo, District Bhatinda, Punjab. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that no specific role in the FIR has been attributed to the petitioner as grievous injuries are not caused by the petitioner. He further submits that there is a dispute between the complainant and his wife and he being the brother in law has been falsely implicated in the present case. The petitioner is ready and willing to join the investigation.

On the other hand, learned State counsel, appearing on advance notice, opposes the grant of bail to the petitioner and contends that the petitioner caused the injury on the complainant's leg with an iron rod. 4.

Keeping in view the contentions made by learned counsel for the parties, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to join the investigation as and when required by the Investigating Officer and the Investigating Officer is directed to follow the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Arnesh Kumar vs. State of Bihar and Another (2014), 8 SCC 273 and Satender Kumar Antil v. CBI, (2022) 10 SCC 51.
