NAMIT KUMAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the impugned order dated 04.09.2023 (Annexure P-9), whereby prayer of the petitioners for counting their full time daily wage uninterrupted service followed by regular service towards qualifying service for computing pension and other post retirement benefits have been declined. Further prayer has been made to direct the respondents to grant the revised pension and other retirement benefits to the petitioners by counting their entire service from the date of initial appointments on daily wage basis to the MOHD YAKUB 2024.10.04 16:35 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh

Learned counsel for respondent No.3, on instructions from Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali, submits that the claim of the petitioner shall be reconsidered in the light of the Instructions dated 23.02.2012 (Annexure P-6). In view of the statement made by learned counsel for respondent No.3, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to reconsider the claim of the petitioner in the light of the Instructions dated 23.02.2012 (Annexure P-6), within a period of four weeks from today. If the petitioner is found entitled for the benefits, as claimed in the present petition, the same shall be released to him within a period of three weeks thereafter.
