At the outset, learned State counsel submits that he has received the communication from the concerned DSP seeking more time to file the status report.

Per contra, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that ends of justice would be met if appropriate directions are issued to respondent No. 3 & 4 to consider his representation dated 27.09.2023 (Annexure P-4). 3.

In light of the above, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition stands disposed of, with a direction to respondents No. 3 & 4 to look into the representation dated 27.09.2023 (Annexure P-4) and take necessary action, in accordance with law. 4.

It is made clear that filing or pendency of this petition or any order/direction passed in this petition shall not be an alibi or defence to the petitioner, in case, he is found involved in any illegal activity and the respondent-Authorities shall take appropriate action, in accordance with law.
