This petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of certiorari quashing the order dated 14.8.2023, Annexure P-1, whereby the petitioner's claim to rejoin as eligible Extension Lecturer-Botany, has been rejected.

Learned counsel contends that the petitioner, who was working as Extension Lecturer in Botany, was granted maternity leave from 25.1.2021 to 25.7.2021. On expiry of the same, she could not join back as her child was not well. Thereafter, she has passed National Eligibility Test (NET) on 29.11.2022, and become fully eligible to be appointed as Extension Lecturer. The petitioner's candidature, however, has not been considered on the basis of her eligibility, while passing the impugned order.

Learned State counsel, on instructions, submits that as the petitioner has acquired eligibility to be appointed as Extension Lecturer, her case for adjustment can be considered afresh by the respondents on Ashwani Kumar 2023.11.07 10:06 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

In view thereof, the petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to make a representation to the respondents for being engaged as Extension Lecturer within two weeks from today, and the same shall be considered and decided by respondent no.2/Director, Higher Education, Haryana, within six weeks thereafter.
