This is a petition under Section 482 CrPC with a prayer that direction be issued to respondent No.2 to re-investigate the matter in FIR No.144 dated 29.10.2021 registered under Sections 120-B, 354, 406, 498-A initially at Police Station Women Police Station Panchkula, subsequently transferred to Police Station Mansa Devi, Panchkula. 2.

In the present case, as per the status report, the challan stands filed against respondent No.3 i.e. the husband of the complainant's daughter and the in-laws. Charges have also been framed under Section 498-A, 406 IPC read with Section 120-B IPC. 2023:PHHC:118975 CRM-M-55130-2022 -2for the appearance of the petitioner and his daughter since 25.08.2022. However, both the petitioner and his daughter are not appearing before the Court.

On the previous date i.e. on 05.09.2023, learned counsel for the petitioner had sought time. Today learned counsel for the petitioner states on instructions from the petitioner, who is present in Court, that he is not appearing in the Court for getting his statement recorded on the ground that he was not aware of the hearing of the case. In the same breath learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that daughter of the complainant, who is victim in the present case, is an Inspector with the GST Department. There is no reason as to why the petitioner and his daughter should not be appearing despite bailable warrants having been issued. In any case challan stands filed and charges stands framed in the present case. 4.

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed in the present case, which is accordingly dismissed. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
