(Oral) The instant Writ Petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing respondent No.2 to decide the statutory appeal (Annexure P-7), submitted by the petitioner, challenging order dated 26.11.2024 (Annexure P-6) passed by the Regional Passport Officer, Jalandhar, whereby the passport application submitted by the petitioner has been dismissed.

On advance service of copy of petition, Ms. Gurneet Sagoo, Advocate appears on behalf of the respondents/Union of India. 3.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the appeal (Annexure P-6), submitted by the petitioner, is presently pending before the appellate authority and in all probability, the same would be decided by the concerned authority by way of passing a speaking order, within a period of two months from today, after affording due opportunity of HIMANI GUPTA 2025.08.27 13:57 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
