(Oral) The instant Writ Petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing respondent No.2 to decide the statutory appeals (Annexures P-9 and P-10), submitted by both the petitioners separately, challenging order dated 25.03.2025 (Annexures P-7 and P-8) passed by the Regional Passport Officer, Jalandhar, whereby the passport applications submitted by the petitioners had been dismissed. 2.

On advance service of copy of petition, Mr. Himanshu Bindal, Senior Panel Counsel appears on behalf of the respondents/Union of India. 3.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondents/Union of India submits that the statutory appeals (Annexures P-9 and P-10), submitted by the petitioners, are presently pending consideration before the appellate authority and in all probability, the same would be decided by the concerned authority by way of passing a speaking order, within a period of two months HIMANI GUPTA 2025.08.27 13:57 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
