Reply by way of affidavit of Mr. Shammi Kumar Singla, Divisional Engineer, Lining Division No.1, Punjab Water Resources Management and Development Corporation Ltd., Ferozepur, annexing order dated 26.07.2019 filed today in the Court, is taken on record.
Learned State counsel, on instructions from Mr. Ramanpreet Singh, Sub Divisional Engineer, Lining Division, Ferozepur, submits that according to the respondents, admittedly there is amount of 13,61,012/- due towards the petitioner, same PANKAJ BAWEJA 2019.12.20 15:14 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Ciourt, Chandigarh
COCP No.3672 of 2019 -2would be paid to the petitioner within six weeks from today. He further submits that there is vigilance inquiry pending, as a result of which amount of 5,94,452/- is not paid.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that actual work done is worth 34 lakhs approximately.
The said aspect cannot be gone into the contempt petition.
In view of above, the contempt petition is disposed of. However, the petitioner shall be at liberty to avail remedies in accordance with law for redressal of surviving grievance. [AVNEESH JHINGAN] JUDGE December 20, 2019
