1. The petitioner seeks issuance of directions to respondent No.2 to protect his life and liberty and also of his family which comprises of his wife and two daughters at the hands of respondent No.3.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he owes an amount of Rs.5,35,000/- to respondent No.3 and that respondent No.3 has been issuing threats to cause harm to the petitioner and to other members of the family in case the amount is not returned. It has been submitted that although representation dated 28.09.2024 (Annexure P-3) was submitted to the police, but to no avail.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, but without commenting anything as regards the veracity of the averments made in the petition, the same is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, SBS Nagar (Nawa Shahr), District SBS Nagar, to get representation dated 28.09.2024 (Annexure P-3) examined qua the alleged threat perception of the petitioner in accordance with law. In case, it is found that there is genuine threat to life and liberty of the petitioner, then necessary steps as warranted under law be taken thereupon.
