(Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for appointment as Assistant Manager (I.A.) from the date, when their batch-mates have been appointed.

Learned counsel for respondent No.1/Corporation, at the very outset, very fairly submits that the grievance raised by the petitioner has been substantially redressed and the claim of the petitioner has been accepted and he has been appointed as Assistant Manager and thus, nothing survives in the present petition.
