Short reply dated 08.11.2025, by way of an affidavit of Mr. Dharminder Sharma, IFS, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (HoFF), Punjab, has been filed on behalf of respondent No.2, along with the detailed order dated 27.10.2025, passed by the Divisional Forest Officer, SAS Nagar (Annexure R-1/T), which is taken on record.

Learned counsel for the respondents, referring to Para No.4 of the reply, contends that though the petitioner-deceased had completed 10 years of service as a daily-wage employee. However, he retired on 01.01.2023, upon completing 60 years of age, as such, his services cannot be regularized. However, the proposal for financial benefits has been sent to the State Government and such benefits shall be available to the petitioner till he SIMRANDEEP KAUR 2025.11.12 15:40 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

COCP-4314-2025 (O&M)  completed the age of 60 years, as per the directions of this Court vide order dated 26.02.2024, passed in CWP No.32930 of 2019. 3.

In view of the above undertaking given by the respondent in the reply, the present petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous, at this stage.

However, in case the financial benefits are not released to the petitioners in terms of the aforesaid undertaking given in the reply, within a period of 03 months from today, the petitioners shall be at liberty to file an application for the revival of the present petition. 5.

Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand disposed of.
