(Oral) By way of moving the present application, applicant Seema Rani seeks transfer of divorce petition filed by her husband Karan Krishan, against her, pending in the Court of Ms. Rajni Chokra, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Amritsar to a Court of competent jurisdiction at Tarn Taran, for the reason that she is putting up with her parents at Gharyala, Teshil Patti, District Tarn Taran and is having custody of minor son of the parties aged about 4 years, whom she is looking after, as such it is difficult for her to commute from Gharyala, District Tarn Taran to Amritsar to attend the dates of hearing.

T.A. No. 458 of 2018 -2- Notice of the application was given to the respondent, who was duly served but has not put in appearance to offer opposition to the application.

I have heard learned counsel for the applicant, besides going through the record and I find that there is merit in the application. Under the circumstances, the application is accepted. The divorce petition titled as 'Karan Krishan vs. Seema Rani' pending in the Court of Additional District Judge, Amritsar, is withdrawn from that Court and transferred to the Court of Additional District Judge (I), Tarn Taran, for disposal, in accordance with law. Parties through counsel are directed to appear there on 18.1.2019. A copy of the order be sent to the Courts concerned, for information and necessary compliance.
