Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondent No.2 to decide the appeal dated 09.09.2024 (Annexure P-2) filed by the petitioner against the punishment order dated 21.08.2024/23.08.2024 (Annexure P-1), passed by respondent No.1, imposing recovery of Rs.26,81,545.90/-, upon the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner relies upon order dated 29.08.2024 (Annexure P-5) passed by this Court in CWP-21132-2024 titled as "Amardeep Singh vs The Punjab State Warehousing Corporation and another" and prays for deciding the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 09.09.2024 (Annexure P-2) expeditiously by passing a speaking order in a time-bound manner.

Mr. Sukhbeer Singh, Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and submits that the appeal filed by the petitioner shall be decided expeditiously.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

In view of the aforesaid stand of the learned counsel for the respondents, the present petition is disposed of with directions that the appeal dated 09.09.2024 (Annexure P-2) pending before the Appellate Authority shall be decided within a period of 06 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. Further recovery from the petitioner shall remain stayed and would be subject to the final order that may be passed by the Appellate Authority. 7.

The petition stands disposed of.
