The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to issue his passport with correct name and date of birth. 2.

The petitioner was issued passport on 20.03.2014 wherein name of the petitioner is recorded as 'Shyam Singh' and date of birth as 12.04.1959, whereas, as per petitioner, his correct name is 'Shayam Singh' and date of birth is 15.09.1956.

Learned counsel for Union of India, who on advance notice is present in Court, states that passport authority would look into the matter and do the needful within six weeks from today. 4.

In the wake of statement of learned counsel for Union of India, the petition stands disposed of.
