MANJARI NEHRU KAUL , J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition is for issuance of directions to the official respondents for protection of life and liberty of the petitioner and his family at the hands of respondent No.6. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a complaint was given on 30.08.2024 (Annexure P-3) to the police authorities, however, it had failed to yield any response. It has been submitted that the official respondents were under a legal obligation to pass an appropriate order on his complaint. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if directions are issued to respondent No.3Senior Superintendent of Police, District Tarn Taran, to look into the complaint dated 30.08.2024 (Annexure P-3) and take appropriate steps in accordance with law.

In the wake of the limited prayer of the petitioners, the instant petition is disposed of and respondent No.3Senior Superintendent of Police, District Tarn Taran, is directed to look into the grievance of the petitioner and take appropriate steps, if any required, under the provisions of law. However, if respondent No.3 does not find any substance in the allegations levelled in the complaint dated 30.08.2024 (Annexure P-3), then the petitioner shall be duly informed as per the parameters laid down by the Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari v.
