2.Learned counsel for the petitioner, inter alia, contends that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the case. He submits that no specific overt act is attributed to the petitioner and the injury attracting the offence punishable under Section 306 IPC is not attributed to the petitioner. He further submits that in the meanwhile, a compromise dated 20.09.2024 (Annexure P-3) has been effected between the parties and he is ready to join the investigation.

3.Notice of motion.

4.On the asking of the Court, Mr. Adesh Pal Singh, AAG Punjab present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and prays for time to file reply in the matter.

5.Mr. Surinder Sharma, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of respondent No.2 and filed his power of attorney. Same is taken on record. He has admitted the factum of compromise effected between the parties voluntarily.

5.Adjourned to 08.11.2024.

6.Needful be done well before the date fixed with an advance copy to the counsel opposite.

7.In the meanwhile, the petitioner is hereby directed to join investigation within seven days from today and co-operate in the same. In the event of the arrest of the petitioner, he shall be released on interim bail on his furnishing personal/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer/Investigating Officer. He shall also abide by conditions as envisaged under Section 482(2) BNSS."
