This petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of certiorari quashing the appointment of respondent No.3 as Guest Faculty since she has been engaged by replacing the petitioner. Further, a writ of mandamus has been sought directing respondent No.2 to engage the petitioner as Guest Faculty in view of his experience and qualifications. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that grievance raised herein is pending for appropriate decision before the respondents. At this stage, the petitioner will be satisfied in case respondent No.1 is directed to decide his pending representation, dated 22.09.2023, Annexure P-4, in a specified period.

Mr. Puneet Gupta, Advocate, appears for respondents No.1 and 2 on advance notice, and files vakalatnama, which is taken on record. He submits that the pending representation shall be decided by respondent No.1 expeditiously.

In view thereof, without going into merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1/Registrar, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, to consider and decide the pending representation dated 22.09.2023, by passing a speaking order in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order.

In case the order is not passed within the stipulated period, the officer concerned shall pay costs of ₹25,000 to the petitioner.
