Jasmine Jubbal ................Applicant vs.
Manpreet Singh .................Respondent Coram: Hon'ble Mr. Justice H. S. Madaan Present: Mr. Rajesh Arora, Advocate for the applicant. Mr. S.S. Rangi, Advocate for the respondent. ...
H. S. Madaan, J. (Oral) Learned counsel for the applicant states that in terms of the settlement, the applicant has received a sum of Rs.19,50,000/- from the respondent and in terms of that settlement, the respondent has undertaken to withdraw the divorce petition pending in the Court of District Judge, Ludhiana.
Learned counsel for the respondent while admitting the compromise and payment of a sum of Rs.19,50,000/- by respondent to the applicant states that respondent is willing to withdraw the divorce petition from the trial Court, but on account of the stay order passed by this Court on 10.8.2018, the respondent could not do so. As undertaken, the respondent would withdraw the divorce petition from the trial Court within 15 days positively. Under the circumstances, the present application is dismissed being compromised.
