The instant petition has been filed for quashing of impugned order dated 21.10.2023 (Annexure P-2) passed by learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Ludhiana whereby the petitioners were declared as proclaimed persons.

Learned counsel for the petitioners contended that the petitioners are ready to surrender before the trial Court. Learned counsel further requested that protection be provided to them and they should not be arrested by the police.

Mr. Subhash Godara, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, accepted the notice on behalf of respondents-State and opposed the contention of learned counsel for the petitioners. 5.

The petitioners are directed to surrender before the trial Court within two weeks i.e. on or before 12.09.2025, and till then, their arrest warrant will remain in abeyance and if they surrender before trial Court and move an application for bail then the trial Court will consider their all pleas sympathetically and decide their application on merits. If petitioners fail to surrender before the trial Court within stipulated time, then the relief granted by this Court shall deem to be withdrawn.
