Brief facts necessary for adjudication of the present appeal are that the appellant participated in the selection process under BC-A category qua advertisement no.7/2016. The last date for receipt of the application was 15.02.2017. The appellant submitted the certificate dated 12.07.2017 after the cut off date. In view of this, he was rightly not considered for the post in question.

The case of the appellant is that he should have been considered for the post in the general category. The appellant has secured only 116 marks. However, the last candidate in the general category has secured 132 marks.
