(Oral) The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to release the payment amounting to Rs.16,68,311/- towards the outstanding salary, gratuity and leave encashment to the petitioner, who stood retired from the post of Peon on 31.12.2019. Further prayer has been made to direct respondent No.1 to consider and decide the legal notice dated 09.09.2024 (Annexure P-11) in accordance with law.

After arguing the case for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to challenge the order dated 13.08.2024 (Annexure P-8), passed by the Presiding Officer, Industrial Tribunal, Patiala.
