The instant petition has been filed seeking issuance of a direction to the respondents to take appropriate action against respondent No.5 - Lakha Singh, who is alleged to have inflicted injuries to the petitioner. 2.

Mr. Siddharth Attri, AAG, Punjab, upon whom an advance copy of petition had already been served, has put in appearance on behalf of the respondentState. Learned State counsel has today filed reply by way affidavit of Shri Tarlochan Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Faridkot, which is taken on record.

It has been specifically deposed in the aforesaid reply that FIR No.393 dated 26.10.2024 at Police Station City Faridkot, under Sections 115(2), 117(2) and 3(5) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS) has already been registered against Lakhwinder Singh @ Lakha and Arjan Singh @ Dilpreet.
