Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, in fact, respondent No. 4 is the Reader of DSP, Dirba, Sangrur, who is repeatedly threatening him and causing threat to his life and liberty. 2.

He has specifically alleged that respondent No. 4 had taken signatures of the petitioner on blank papers and qua the same, the representation dated 01.11.2022 was duly filed. 3.

Learned State counsel while relying on the status report submits that the matter has already been looked into in compliance of order dated 18.04.2023 passed by this Court and almost 09 persons were joined the investigation and the alleged representation dated 01.11.2022 was never received by respondent No. 2.

Keeping in view the serious allegations against respondent No.4, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 3-Station House Officer, Police Station Dirba, Tehsil Dirba, District Sangrur to look into the matter and assess the threat perception, as the petitioner is a senior citizen of 90 years and in such age his life and liberty needs to be protected.

However, this order is without prejudiced to the rights of other parties and shall not be construed as any expression of opinion on the merits of the case.
