Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a direction to respondents no. 2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners, who are under a live-inrelationship and to restrain the private respondents no. 4 to 8 from harassing or interfering in their lives.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that at this stage, he would be satisfied if the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no. 2 to take a decision on the representation dated 21.08.2025 (Annexure P-3) submitted on behalf of the petitioners. 3.

Learned State counsel, who appears on advance notice, has no objection if the above prayer is accepted.
