RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Original receipts qua deposit of costs in compliance of order dated 18.03.2019 produced in Court today are taken on record. Through instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. prayer has been made for quashing FIR No.29 dated 14.05.2015 registered under Sections 323, 325, 34 IPC at Police Station City-II, Mansa (Punjab) and subsequent proceedings arising thereto i.e. judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 28.07.2016 (Annexure P-2), on the basis of compromise, whereby petitioners have been held guilty and sentenced as under by the trial: - Name of Convict Under Section Sentence Fine Sentence in default of payment of fine Sandeep Kaur 323 IPC R.I. for six months -- -- 325/34 IPC R.I. for one year `1,000/- S.I. for seven days Bhupinder Singh 325 IPC R.I. for three years `1,000/- S.I. for seven days 323/34 IPC R.I. for four months -- -- RAVINDER SINGH 2019.05.29 11:41 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

-2CRM-M-16100 of 2017 Pursuant to order dated 05.12.2018 of this Court, the parties appeared before the Appellate Court on 21.01.2019 to get their statements recorded. Learned Additional Sessions Judge, Mansa, has submitted his report vide letter bearing No.48 dated 25.01.2019 duly forwarded by learned District and Sessions Judge, Mansa, vide letter No.669 dated 28.01.2019. According to the report of learned Additional Sessions Judge, Mansa, he is satisfied that compromise arrived at between the parties is genuine, without any pressure or undue influence and for the purpose of bringing peace, harmony and curtailing the litigation. Considering the report of learned Additional Sessions Judge, Mansa and the fact that the compromise will bring peace and harmony in relations between the parties, aforesaid FIR No.29 dated 14.05.2015 is quashed. Sentence awarded to the petitioners is reduced to the period already undergone. Amount of fine is converted into costs of proceedings. Disposed of accordingly.
