The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents No.1 to 3 to protect life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of respondents No.4 to 6 and their unknown accomplices, who are unnecessarily threatening him and pressurizing the petitioner to transfer the house which was purchased by him after his retirement; along with certain other prayers. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the present petition with liberty to the petitioner to avail any other alternate remedy, in accordance with law.
