(ORAL) The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing respondents No.1 to 5 to facilitate the Gram Panchayat Billi Braich, Post Office Daulatpur Dhadda, Tehsil Shahkot, District Jalandhar to carry out development works in the village and to ensure that respondent No.6 may not scuttle the development works of the Gram Panchayat by using his political influence.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners restrict their prayer as regards taking necessary steps by respondents No.3 and 4 for checking and improving the water logging issue in the Village Billi Braich, Post Office Daulatpur Dhadda, Tehsil Shahkot, District Jalandhar.
