The cross petitions filed for custody of two children are pending in the District Courts at Chandigarh. One petition was filed by the father, whereas another was filed by the mother. The elder son resides with the father at Chandigarh, whereas the younger one resides with the mother, who is now residing at Panchkula. Chandigarh and Panchkula are the twin cities that are inter-connected.

After arguing for some time, the learned counsel representing the parties have come to a consensus. They pray that let both the petitions be transferred to Panchkula to be tried by a Family Court of competent jurisdiction.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the present petition is allowed and the impugned order passed on 20.09.2024 rejecting the father's DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2025.02.18 15:50 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Civil Revision No. 5816 of 2024 (O&M) petition on the ground of lack of territorial jurisdiction is set aside. The Civil Judge (Senior Division), Chandigarh, is directed to transfer the petitions i.e. GW-50 dated 13.08.2024 titled as "Vivek Kumar v. Priyanka Sharma" and GW-72 of 2024 titled as "Priyanka Sharma v. Vivek Kumar" to the Court of competent jurisdiction at Panchkula. The parties, through their learned counsel, are directed to appear before the Family Court at Panchkula, on 07.03.2025.

The miscellaneous application(s) pending, if any, shall stand disposed of.
