(Oral) Prayer in this petition filed under Section 438 CrPC is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.15 dated 23.07.2019 under Sections 406, 498-A and 420 IPC registered at Police Station Women Cell, Ludhiana (Rural), District Ludhiana. Criminal Misc. No. M-47789 of 2019 -2Accordingly, the parties have appeared before the mediator and a settlement/compromise deed dated 26.11.2019 has been reduced into writing, which has been made part of record.

Counsel for the petitioner has handed over a demand draft for a sum of Rs.2,30,000/-, in the name of the complainant-Karamjit Kaur, to counsel for the complainant, towards the remaining amount in terms of the settlement/complainant, which has been accepted by the complainant. Counsel for the complainant, on instructions from the complainant, does not dispute the compromise so arrived between the parties.

In view of the aforesaid, the present petition is disposed of, with a direction that the petitioner shall not arrested in the case in any manner unless a clear 15 days notice be given to him. The parties shall adhere to the terms and conditions of the settlement-compromise so arrived between them in letter and spirit.
