Prayer in the present petition is for issuance of direction especially in the nature of certiorari for setting aside the impugned election notification dated 19.09.2024 (Annexure P-1) qua the area of Malliya Khurd. 2.

Mr. Maninder Singh, Sr. DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents-State and filed short reply by way of affidavit of Paramvir Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Electoral Officer, Tehsil and District Tarn Taran, Punjab on behalf of respondent No.6, which is taken on record.

Learned State counsel has drew attention towards para No.10 of the short reply filed today and states that village Malliya Khurd stands deleted from the notification dated 25.09.2024 (Annexure P-2) and, therefore, the notification dated 19.09.2024 (Annexure P-1) would not apply to the present petition and therefore, the present petition be disposed of as the same is having been rendered infructuous.
