The petitioner has filed the present Criminal Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India with a prayer to direct the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner as she apprehends imminent threats at the hands of private respondents. 2.

Pursuant to the notice, status report by way of an affidavit of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Khanna, District Ludhiana has been filed on behalf of the respondents No.1 to 3-State and the same is already taken on record.

Learned State counsel submits that earlier also the petitioner had moved various applications and both the parties were summoned by the police. However, the petitioner did not appear even after calling her repeatedly. He further submits that the allegations levelled by the petitioner in the present case have been found to be incorrect. However, learned State counsel submits that in case the petitioner is threatened by the respondents or any other person, the petitioner is at liberty to move appropriate MAMTA 2024.09.13 10:58 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

CRWP-10333-2023 -22024:PHHC:119585 application to the police and every attempt shall be made to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and necessary action shall be taken against the person, who is found guilty.

In view of the statement made by the learned State counsel, no further directions are required and the present petition is accordingly disposed off.
