1. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioners, but without commenting anything as regards merits of the case or as regards veracity of averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar, District Jalandhar (Punjab) to look into the matter and to ensure that the investigation pertaining to FIR No.211, dated 31.7.2024 registered at Police Station Phillaur, District Jalandhar Rural, under Sections 66(C) and 66(D) of Information Technology Act, 2000 is got investigated fairly and expeditiously, so that a final report under Section 173 Cr.P.C. is submitted thereafter at the earliest.

2. It is further directed that respondent No.2 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar, District Jalandhar (Punjab) shall also get the representation/complaint dated 23.8.2024 (Annexure P-2) examined to the Pankaj Kakkar 2024.10.21 17:30 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRWP-9634-2024 (O&M) ( 2 ) limited extent of alleged threat perception of the petitioners. In case, it is found that there is any gunine threat to the lives and liberty of the petitioners, then necessary steps as may be warranted under law be taken thereupon at the earliest so as to ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioners in any manner.

3. A copy of this order alongwith copy of representation/complaint dated 23.8.2024 (Annexure P-2) be conveyed to respondent No.2 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar, District Jalandhar (Punjab) for necessary compliance.
