(ORAL) This is a petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of certiorari to set aside the impugned order dated 14.07.2016 (Annexure P-2), impugned order dated 18.10.2016 (Annexure P-3), impugned order dated 23.10.2017 (Annexure P5) and also seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondents No.2 and 3 to reinstate the petitioner into service will all consequential benefits.

It has been pointed out by the learned counsel for the respondents that after filing of the present petition, the petitioner stands convicted by the criminal court in case FIR No.253 dated 16.11.2013, registered under Sections 304-A, 279 and 427 of the Indian Penal Code, at Police Station Sadar, District Tarn Taran. Hence, the present petition has been rendered infructuous.

CWP-28875-2017 (O&M) -2that the SLP against the judgment of conviction and order of sentence is already pending before the Hon'ble Supreme Court. In view of the above, the present petition is dismissed as having been rendered as instructuous. However, the petitioner would be at liberty to raise his claim, but in accordance with law, in case the SLP is decided in his favour.
