**** JAGMOHAN BANSAL , J. (Oral) The petitioner through instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is seeking direction to official respondents to complete the investigation in FIR No.79 dated 05.07.2022 registered at Police Station Kulgari, District Ferozepur, under Section 376-D of IPC. In compliance of order dated 30.11.2022, the State has filed status report dated 20.01.2023 by way of affidavit of Sandeep Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Rural), Ferozepur, which is taken on record. Registry is directed to tag the same at appropriate place. In the affidavit, the State has disclosed that investigation stands completed and DSP, Guruharsahai has recommended to file cancellation report.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, on being confronted with the status report submits that the DSP has proposed cancellation report on account of his bias attitude. He is favouring the accused.

CRM-M-55355-2022 -2 Learned State counsel submits that the cancellation report has been prepared, however, it has not been accepted, thus, the petitioner has remedy to approach SSP, Ferozepur and put forth his stand. The petitioner apart from remedy to put forth his stand before SSP, Ferozepur has further remedy to file protest petition before the trial Court.

Without commenting on status report and contention of the parties, the petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to approach SSP, Ferozepur and put forth his stand who is expected to take appropriate action as per law. The petitioner is further free to file protest petition if cancellation report is filed.
