PANKAJ JAIN, J. (ORAL) By way of present petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioners are seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents to protect their life and liberty at the hands of respondents No.3 to 6.

Mr. Tarun Aggarwal, Sr. DAG, Punjab. accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents.

As per the petitioners, they have married on 14.10.2023 against the wishes of respondents No.3 to 6, who happen to be the family members/ relatives of petitioner No.1 i.e. Rita.

Both the petitioners have claimed themselves to be major relying upon their Aadhar Cards indicating that petitioner No.1-Rita is 28.07.1999 born and petitioner No.2-Amanjeet is 28.10.1989 born. Deepak Kumar 2023.10.18 17:52 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-10255-2023 -22023:PHHC:135758 Without commenting on the legality and validity of the marriage, I deem it appropriate to direct respondent No.2 (Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur) to look into the representation dated 14.10.2023 (Annexure P-3) submitted by the petitioners. Keeping in view the fact that both the petitioners claim to have married, I think that if possible, respondent No.2 may call a meeting of the petitioners as well as respondents No..3 to 6 in his presence, so that the parties get rid off their ill feelings and live amicably. The petition stands disposed off.
