The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India is seeking directions to the respondents to re-issue him passport.

The petitioner was issued passport on 28.06.2022 which expired on 26.06.2023. The petitioner vide application dated 23.11.2022 applied for re-issuance of passport. The petitioner was implicated in two FIRs. The petitioner has been acquitted in FIR No.100 dated 16.09.2015, registered under Sections 447, 511 of IPC and Section 13 PLPA Act, at Police Station Sadar Rupnagar, District Rupnagar. The police after completing investigation filed untraced report in FIR No.71 dated 25.07.2019, registered under Sections 447, 511, 506, 349 of IPC, at Police Station Sadar Rupnagar, District Rupnagar. The police has recommended ANJU GOEL 2023.10.18 17:01 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
