HARSH BUNGER, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the present petition, filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, is for issuance of a direction to respondent No.2 to consider the application submitted by Sunita Rani (mother of the petitioner) dated 18.11.2022 (Annexure P-1) regarding transfer back the petitioner from Central Jail, Bathinda to Central Jail, Faridkot, where the trial is pending.
Learned counsel for the petitioner, while referring to para 9 of the reply dated 12.01.2023 filed on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3-State, submits that the application submitted by the petitioner for jail transfer is still pending with respondent No.2 i.e. Inspector General of Police, Jail Department, Punjab, Chandigarh and the petitioner would be satisfied, if a direction is issued by this Court to respondent No.2 to decide the same in a time bound manner.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Inspector General of Police, Jail Department, Punjab, Chandigarh, to consider the application for jail transfer of the petitioner, by passing a speaking order within a period of eight weeks from today.
Disposed of accordingly.
