       This is a public interest litigation filed by the petitioner raising the issue of illegal use of residential premises for commercial and industrial purposes in Kichlu Nagar, Ludhiana. Learned senior counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already filed several representations before the respondent-authorities but no action thereon has been taken as yet. She further submits that in such circumstances, the concerned Municipal Corporation be directed to look into the aforesaid issue and take action expeditiously in accordance with law by implementing the same in strict-sense.

Learned Assistant Advocate General appearing on behalf of the respondent-State of Punjab, on advance copy, submits that the respondent-authorities shall look into the matter and take a decision on the representations filed by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law.

In view of the statements made by learned counsel for the parties and taking the same on record, the petition filed by the petitioner stands disposed of.
