Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.132 dated 13.10.2018 under Sections 419, 420, 465, 468, 467, 471 and 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station Ghagga, Patiala.

Notice of motion.

Mr.Dhruv Dayal, Sr.DAG, Punjab, has put in appearance on behalf of the respondent-State and contested the petition. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. From the record, I find that as per the FIR, 16 Registration Certificates have been recovered from the petitioner. As per prosecution version, owners of the vehicles stated that they have given correct VINEET GULATI 2019.05.06 16:45 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh documents but the petitioner along with other accused, manipulated the

CRM No.M-55677 of 2018 -2addresses and some documents to show said owners as residents of Patiala and other districts, to take benefit of online registration. The petitioner has been in custody since 01.11.2018. He is not required for custodial interrogation as he is in judicial custody. The challan has already been presented. The trial of the case will take long time. No useful purpose will be served by keeping the petitioner in custody till the disposal of the case.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case, without discussing the facts in minute detail and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail subject to his furnishing personal/surety bonds in the sum of `50,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate.
