**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL , J. (ORAL) Through the instant petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No. 135 dated 19.9.2019, registered under Sections 406, 420, 467, 468, 471 IPC, Police Station Sadhaura, District Yamuna Nagar. The prosecution story, in brief, is that E-Pay Infoserve Private Limited, Assandh Road, Panipat has a contract with Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited ('Nigam' for short). The petitioner along with his coaccused was appointed as Cashiers by E-Pay Infoserve Pvt. Ltd. for collecting the amount of electricity bills in Sadhaura Sub Division, District Yamuna Nagar.

It was their duty to collect the amount of electricity bills in cash and through cheques against receipts printed online and to deposit the said amount in the account of Nigam and hand over the cheques to the Cashier of Nigam everyday. The allegations are that the petitioner and his co-accused hatched a criminal conspiracy and collected the amount of electricity bills from the consumers without issuing printed receipts. CRM-M No. 48055 of 2019 -2affixed fake stamp on the electricity bills. They neither entered the electricity bills online nor deposited the amount in the account of Nigam. It has further been alleged that till July 2019, the accused had collected the amount of Rs. 33,00,000/- against fake/forged receipts and embezzled the said amount.

The petitioner in connivance with his co-accused issued forged receipts of the amount, received from the electricity consumers and embezzled the said amount. Recovery of more than Rs. 10.00 lacs is yet to be effected from the accused. The allegations levelled against the petitioner are serious in nature.

No ground for grant of anticipatory bail is made out. The petition is dismissed.
