Mr. Inder Pal Singh, Advocate for the petitioners. PANKAJ JAIN, J. (ORAL) By way of present petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioners are seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect their life and liberty at the hands of respondents No.4 to 6.

As per the petitioners, they have married on 15.10.2023 against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 6, who happen to be the family members/ relatives of petitioner No.1 i.e. Rajdeep Kaur. Both the petitioners have claimed themselves to be major relying upon their Aadhar Cards indicating that petitioner No.1-Rajdeep Kaur is 17.02.20203 born and petitioner No.2-Manpreet Singh is 04.10.2000 born.

CRWP-10325-2023 -22023:PHHC:136345 Without commenting on the legality and validity of the marriage, I deem it appropriate to direct respondent No.2 (Senior Superintendent of Police, District Mansa) to look into the representation dated 15.10.2023 (Annexure P-4) submitted by the petitioners. Keeping in view the fact that both the petitioners claim to have married, I think that if possible, respondent No.2 may call a meeting of the petitioners as well as respondents No.4 to 6 in his presence, so that the parties get rid off their ill feelings and live amicably. The petition stands disposed off.
