Petitioner was enrolled as a Constable on 25.03.1985. Vide order dated 06.05.2011, petitioner was dismissed from service on the allegation of absence for 48 days without assigning any reason. Petitioner never availed any remedy against the dismissal order. Instant writ petition has been filed after seven years of the impugned order. No explanation is forthcoming for the delay and laches. Besides, absence of the petitioner from the post despite being a member of the uniformed force amounts to serious misconduct. The court does not find any infirmity the order passed by the disciplinary authority. Petition is, thus, without any merit and is hereby dismissed.
